Mens Coach: Gaby

I am a passionate, hard-working individual who strives on development and helping those around
me. I aspire to make a positive difference in the hockey community and help grow this beautiful
sport.
I have been coaching for 6 years. This ranges from toddlers to open age groups. I have also coached
all formats of hockey and have been exposed to many different levels of performance.
I myself was the UJ first team captain in 2022 and was also a part of the SA indoor World Cup
selection camp and the 5’s SA selection camp.

Hello, to all reading this. as a coach I am dedicated and determined to help all types of hockey players to believe that their biggest opposition is themselves. Nothing is preventing you from making a goal saving tackle, the perfect pass or scoring the match winning goal. As a coach I am patient, my focus on the induvial p​layers and team’s needs, I am a hands-on coach and not afraid to give examples and make mistakes giving those examples as it proves that anyone can do it. I allow for the players to think for themselves in a hockey thinking way and encourage the players to try new things in a fun and exciting way and to show them that mistakes are a good thing.     
My history as a player: 
·         I went to King Edward VII school and played in the first XI side since grade 9. ·         Played Southern A side from 2014-2018 
·         I have played for Shumbas prem-side 
·         Currently playing for Lions MO5 and MO3 sides 
My history as a coach: 
·         Brescia house Gr3-Gr6
·         Hoerskool Randburg U/16girls & 1st team girls
·         Lions U/18 5 a side

Womens Coach: Adam

Hello to the Lions Hockey Family and all. I strongly believe
hockey is a simple game and that if you as a player and team
can do the simple things well, I don’t see why you shouldn’t
succeed. I am always willing to assist any individual and help
them grow as a player to benefit their own future and those
they play with. Everyone deserves a chance to be part of a
team so consistent growth is key amongst any player. “As long
as you’re learning you’re never losing.”
As a player myself:
- I currently play for Shumbas 1 st Team
- I have experience playing hockey in Northern Ireland
(Annadale Hockey Club)
- Southern Gauteng Hockey throughout my schooling
career (2018-2022)
- Southern Gauteng Country Districts Team (2023)

- Coach at Northcliff High School
